Trent Reznor's rezonating style of hard rock techno music has long been the benchmark for all such future sounds to come since his musical inception. His style of hard hitting beats, screaming guitars and symphony of synthesizers is closely associated with some of the darker topics and aspects of the human condition. The bad boy of techno-rock has actually been churning out allegories and gospel music that is quite transparent. All the screaming and yelling he does to relay his message is offsetting to many, and this is his most commonly chosen method of camouflage. The hidden meaning of the band name Nine Inch Nails if I were to hazard a guess refers to the very nails that crucified Christ. Johnny Cash took one of his songs Hurt, and redid it in his own style, seemingly he chose this song to eulogize his life shortly before his death, thus exposing Trent to an entirely new fan-base.
