Screaming Trees were just pre grunge 1990's band. Their album Sweet Oblivion is one of my favorites, I couldn't get it out of my head. I do not understand each song, they are rather artistic, but the underlying theme is there. The band name Screaming Trees refers to the insight that trees have a consciousness, and are completely aware of us, and have an entire range of emotions.
